Former IRA Man Gerard "Jock" Davison Is Shot Dead In Belfast

It is alleged that Davison was involved in the infamous fight in a Belfast bar that led to the death of Robert McCartney in January 2005, McCartney's death is one of Northern Ireland's most high profile killings. Speaking this morning Sinn Fein leader, Gerry Adams condemned the killing of Gerard Davison stating, "This brutal act will be condemned by all sensible people - there can be no place today for such actions.
