Former employees of the Jeannette cookie factory react in the Courthouse of Caen on February 5, 2015, after the Justice dismissed the case by the owner of the Jeannette cookie factory, which was liquidated in 2013, who was asking 128,522 euros from the formers employees for the occupation of the factory site. Eight individuals, including six former employees of the Jeannette plant, appeared before the court of Caen earlier, on January 29, for having occupied the plant since February 2014. The owner of the site was demanding compensation, while Elise Brand, the lawyer of the former employees, argued that they had "occupied" the site to "defend their jobs", but that they had not occupied the site since the end of December.
