IN SPACE - JUNE 28: In this handout satellite image provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Tropical Storm Alex intensifies in strength in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico as it closes in to land near the Mexico-Texas border on June 28, 2010 as seen from space of the Gulf of Mexico. Tropical storm Alex, the first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season this year, has cased BP and the Coast Guard to suspend cleanup efforts of the massive oil spill off the Louisiana coast due to high winds and rough waters. All oil skimming ships have been sent back to port due to unsafe conditions. The storm is expected to become a hurricane as it moves closer to shore steering clear of the oil spill but conditions might push oil farther inland. (Photo by NOAA via Getty Images)
