Does D.C. have a paparazzi culture? It turns out it does. There have long been party and red carpet event photographers here in D.C., but the phenomenon of true paparazzi is relatively new, having sprouted up in the last few years.

One of his most famous photos to date was Oprah Winfrey arriving at Howard University for the commencement address a few years back. She had flip flops on and it turned out she had six toes! The photo ran around the world and he made about $50K off it. He also filmed the famous shot of actor Shia LaBeouf in Georgetown flinging a cup of coffee at another paparazzo who was bothering him.
