ITALY - FEBRUARY 13: National Demonstration Against Silvio Berlusconi In Rome, Italy On February 13, 2011-near Piazza del Popolo (people's square), national demonstration appealing for greater dignity for Italian women. Led by the national women's movement known as Se non ora Quando (If not now when), which takes its name with the 1984 novel by Primo Levi. The campaign seeks to curb the Italian media's debasing representation of women as sexual objects, and to eradicate the increasingly topical and unethical notion that beauty can be exchanged for easy money, fame and employment, at the expense of intelligence or merit. In a thinly-veiled reference to the Italian premier, Silvio Berlusconi, organisers say that examples of these negative attitudes against women are being espoused by the "highest offices of state".
