KENSINGTON, : Police and firefighters Rescue inspect Amtrak's "Capitol Limited" which derailed 29 July 2002 with approximately 190 passengers and 12 crew in Kensington, Maryland, some 20kms (12 miles) north of Washington. The "Capitol Limited," travelling from Chicago to Washington, derailed just before 1:55 pm (1755 GMT). US media reported that around 60 people had been injured with no fatalities. Images broadcast on television showed dozens of passengers sitting on the tracks nearby in sweltering temperatures nearing 40 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit). AFP Photo/Paul J.
