The protestors wanted to raise concerns about the planned closure of the award-winning MillerCoors brewery in Eden, N.C. The closure will impact 450 Teamster families in that state. The decision to close Eden was announced on September 14, just two days before the merger talks between SABMiller (LON: SAB) and AB/Inbev (NYSE: BUD) were formally disclosed to the public.
