The 18-year-old died saving the life of her boss when she was working as a manager at the Cafe Society restaurant in Belfast city centre. One night in July 1997, the owner of the restaurant, Renee Lee, went upstairs, where a washing machine was leaking water. She was followed by a kitchen porter who attacked her, stabbing her in the back. Eliza confronted the attacker and, in a violent struggle, was fatally wounded. The porter pulled the knife from the restaurant owner's back and stabbed Eliza with it. A man was arrested and later jailed for Eliza's murder. (Photo by PA Images via Getty Images)
