Workers from the Pilpa ice cream factory in Carcassonne, southern France, take part in surveillance rounds to stop the new factory owner from taking or dismantling factory equipment and machines, on December 27, 2012. 112 workers face the threat of being layed-off since July 2012 when the factory's owner sold the site to the R&R ice cream company and have struggled to keep the site and its jobs ever since. As the workers await court rulings pertaining to the factory site and its future, workers say they are being vigilant and have instituted rounds and a night guard to make sure R&R does not leave with the machines and equipment, thereby making it impossible for workers to consider continuing production at the site.
