Germany And France Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of Elysee Treaty

The treaty, concluded in 1963 by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer in the Elysee Palace in Paris, set a new tone of reconciliation between France and Germany, and called for consultations between the two countries to come to a common stance on policies affecting the most important partners in Europe as well as the rest of the region.
