Singapore City, Singapore - March 25, 2011: Roof Garden. The image shows part of the roof garden of the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay.The theatre's unique roof structure can be seen in the background - locals have nicknamed this the Durian, after the tropical fruit which has a similar shape and texture. The theatre was built in 2002 and has a waterside location overlooking Marina Bay and the city. It is the principle centre for performing arts for the country of Singapore.
