Actresses Bette Davis and Patty Duke Posing at Award Ceremony

(Original Caption) Beaming happily, actresses Bette Davis, (L), and Patty Duke hold their Photoplay magazine Gold Medals in New York, after Miss Davis was honored as "Actress of the Year," and Miss Duke accepted the award for the "Best Picture of the Year," for The Miracle Worker. Both were up for Oscars on April 8th, having been nominated in different categories. Miss Davis, who only recently advertised in a Hollywood trade magazine for a movie job, was nominated as "Best Actress of 1962," for her role in What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? If she were to win, it would be her third Oscar. Miss Duke had been nominated in the "Best Supporting Actress" category for her portrayal in The Miracle Worker.
