403990 01: Dost Muhammad, a Northern Alliance soldier at the former Afghan Defense Ministry compound in Reshkhor (10 kms southwest of Kabul), walks through the US bombed main palace-like building April 4, 2002 occupied until November 13, 2001 by al Qaeda and Taleban militant officials. It is very possible Abu Zubaydah, the number 3 member of al Qaeda, recently captured March 28, 2002 in Pakistan, spent time working here. The vast Reshkhor compound was once occupied by the Afghan Army, then by the Soviet Union Army, followed by the mujahideen and from 1996 by Taleban and soon after by militants of al Qaeda from Chechenya, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. Up to 2000 or more Pakistani militants from the terrorist group Harikat-ul-Mujahideen trained here. Al Qaeda training videos were filmed at Reshkhor.
