Open Air Meeting on Letna Plain in Prague

On November 25, 1989, 500,000 people attend a meeting organized by the Civic Forum on the Letna Plain in the presence of Alexander Dubcek and Vaclav Havel. The hard-line Communist government's lack of reform, the fall of the Berlin Wall in November, the return after 20 years in the wilderness of Alexander Dubcek and increase in police brutality were some of the main factors leading to the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia.
