The UK Adjusts To Life Under The Coronavirus Pandemic

The facility has re-roled itself into a non-profit community emergency food provision centre for vulnerable and self-isolating individuals and families. Using social media and leaflets to vulnerable people food can be ordered and either collected or delivered to local areas within the East Cleveland area. The food and products would normally have been delivered to the centre to fulfill their usual business requirements and volunteer staff then re-sort out the boxes based on orders. Boxes are sold at supplier cost with only a minimum increase to cover staff wages. Coronavirus (COVID-19) has spread to at least 196 countries, claiming over 17,000 lives and infecting more than 390,000 people. There have now been 6,650 diagnosed cases in the UK and 335 deaths.
