High Street shoppers enjoy good Christmas sales

VOICED: Figures show we did go out and spend in the run up to Christmas. According to the Office for National Statistics retail sales rose by a modest 0.6 per cent between November and December last year. Overall we spent #38.4 billion in the run up to Christmas. It's thought big discounts persuaded shoppers to spend more - so Sky's Alistair Bunkall asked some shoppers if thats true.
