Japan Holds Anti-Terror Drill at Baseball Park

TOKYO, JAPAN – FEB.. 9: Japan's police conducted a drill at a major Tokyo ballpark on February 9 in a scenario that an armed terrorist took hostage during a professional baseball game. At Tokyo Dome in central Tokyo, about 400 participants comprising of riot police and ballpark staffers tried to deter an actor playing as terrorist who then threw a bag containing an explosive, ran out of an entrance and attempted to run away in a car. The drill finished after police stopped the man in a fake gun fight. Baseball is a popular sports in Japan and the dome is one of the most crowded ballpark during the season.
