Dr Leslie Noe cleaning a pliosaur

Dr Leslie Noe, a Palaeontollgist from the Sedgewick Museum, starts to clean the jaws of a pliosaur, at Cambridge University. The pliosaur, on loan from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Columbia, represents an entirely new genus and species of marine reptile, previously unknown to scientists. The remains of the animal where excavated in 1967, but remained hidden in the vaults of the University in Bogota. An enterprising student, Miss Marcela Gomez, rediscovered it four years ago.
