A day at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in North Dakota. This is a rural North Dakota hospital located in a county with some of the highest Covid rates in the country.

Last night I was supposed to be done at 7 and we got busy with four ambulances right at change of shift. So I left a little after 8 and got home at a quarter after 9, so thats a 15-hour day. I dont see my family at all on those days. I pretty much go home and stay away from them, shower and set my uniform out for the next day and go to bed. Im just mentally drained from everything when I get home. This is by far the most taxing, mentally, emotionally and physically, it could be. Its all so preventable if people would give a little.
