Lilium lancifolium or lilium tigrinum, commonly called tiger lily, is a species of lily, native to East Asia including Japan and China. It is in bloom from mid to late summer (July to September). It bears bright and showy, orange-colored flowers covered with black or deep crimson spots, giving the appearance of the skin of tiger, hence its common name. The style and filaments of the stamens are whitish orange and filiform. The anthers are long, narrow, and dark-colored; their pollen is rust-colored.
