Damascus, SYRIA: Christian youths from Syria, Jordan and Egypt hold up Syrian flags as they sing for peace during a gathering held in Damascus by some Christian groups from Arab countries 14 December 2005 to show of support for Syria which has gone on the offensive over a new UN report on the murder of Lebanon's former premier Rafiq Hariri, charging it is littered with errors and "false witnesses." While UN chief investigator Detlev Mehlis said the UN investigation of Hariri's slaying might take "another year or two" because of the slow pace of Syrian cooperation, the White House said that the UN Security Council should "increase the pressure" on Syria after a report implicating high-ranking Syrian officials in the murder of Lebanon's former premier.
