CENTER OF DUSSELFDORF, DUSSELDORF, RHINELAND, GERMANY - 2019/03/04: Figure of Salvini is seen in one of the the politically themed floats of satirist Jacques Tilly during the carnival. In Düsseldorf, the calendar of Carnival events features no fewer than 300 Carnival shows, balls, anniversaries, receptions and costume parties. The motto this season is Gemeinsam Jeck (Together Carnival). The celebrations culminate in the Rose Monday Parade. More than 30 music ensembles and 5,000 participants join the procession through the city. Elaborately built and decorated floats address cultural and political issues and can be satirical, hilarious and even controversial.
