Congresswoman Walorski criticizes Democrats as rushing Gosar censure

House Ethics Committee Ranking Member Jackie Walorski says in debate on resolution to censure Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar for posting anime video depicting violence against colleague Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and President Joe Biden that for the record, majority controlled when the resolution was introduced, a meeting scheduled so if there were a scheduling conflict rushing the resolution to the floor was intended by the majority, so members were to vote to remove a representative from his committees and censure him whereas traditionally members were placed on committees by their own parties but the majority had broken president again, removing a second Republican that session, so by rushing the vote and ignoring institutional processes the majority was setting a precedent that would not serve the institution well in the future.
