Peter Fonda on Getting Past Injuries He Has Suffered Riding Motorcycles

Interviewer: Let me ask you, with motorcycle riding of course you’ve been up here in Canada, you’ve done the charity rides here in Alberta, and you’ve been actually injured quite badly, what sort of keeps you coming back to-to riding even though you suffered some pretty nasty injuries? Peter Fonda: You know I only had two bad accidents, and if you’ve never let a motorcycle down, you really haven’t been riding, I don’t, I can’t, I know how to and it’s so much fun, it’s freedom, there’s no fences on the road, I don’t ride freeways if I can help it, though I had a pretty good time riding in the Calgary parade, you know I had to do figure eights to slow the (inaudible) because you know everyone’s marching and all that kind of stuff. But I had a friend, Kevin-Kevin Norman, and Kevin brought me into that parade, and to the Calgary Stampede so that was great fun, getting to do that and then taking a bunch of motorcycles riding up through the mountains that was great fun, so if that’s the payoff for having a few accidents and doing something like “Easy Rider” you bet, and that payoff was being able to create the hell cycle.
