Hillary Clinton Says President Cannot Tell A Senator You Are Fired

Hillary Clinton tells a Los Angeles audience that she has no problem working with people with whom she disagrees because in a democracy that is what you do, that you did not order elected officials to do something, that you do not just tell a Senator You're fired, that is not how the government works, drawing applause. Clinton says she is ready to do whatever is necessary to find common ground but stand your ground because there are a lot of issues that are too important to give up on.
